We are thrilled to share that our Vintage Clothbound Cheddar has received two gold stars at the 2025 Great Taste Awards — the world's most trusted food and drink awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food.
This recognition is a testament to the skill of our dairymaking team and the exceptional quality of the milk from our pasture-fed herds. The judges praised the cheese's “deep, complex flavour with notes of hazelnut and a long, satisfying finish.”
The Great Taste Awards are judged blind by over 500 experts, including chefs, food writers, buyers, and retailers. A two-star rating signifies “outstanding” — a food that the judges would go out of their way to find.
Our Vintage Clothbound is aged for a minimum of 18 months in our temperature-controlled maturing rooms. Each wheel is handmade, individually clothbound, and turned regularly throughout the ageing process.
