The Land

Our farm sits in the heart of the Somerset Levels — a landscape of rich, fertile pastures that produces some of the finest milk in the West Country. The unique terroir of this region imparts character and depth to every product we make.

Our fields are managed using regenerative practices, including rotational grazing, hedgerow restoration, and wildflower margins to support local biodiversity.

Our Herd

We keep a herd of around 120 dairy cows — a mix of traditional breeds selected for the quality and richness of their milk. Our cows are pasture-fed for as long as the season allows, typically eight to nine months a year.

Animal welfare is at the heart of everything we do. Our herd has access to open pasture, comfortable housing in winter, and veterinary care from a dedicated local practice.

Sustainability

We believe that good farming and environmental responsibility go hand in hand. Our sustainability commitments include:

  • Rotational grazing to improve soil health
  • Hedgerow and wildflower planting for biodiversity
  • Solar panels on farm buildings
  • Waste whey returned to the land as natural fertiliser
  • Commitment to net-zero dairy by 2030
